Scouts Australia's Apology

Today, on Friday the 5th October 2018, Scouts Australia apologised to survivors of child sexual abuse in Scouting. Making this apology is part of Scouts Australia’s commitment to acknowledge and address the harm that some of its members have suffered through Scouting.

Things for camping

Have a good read through this list to get an idea of what to but then download the
Camp Check List for your Cub Joey or Scout to use as a checklist. Make sure to LABEL EVERYTHING!

 

Toiletries Bag containing :-
  • Toothpaste and toothbrush
  •  Flannel and soap
  • Comb or hair brush
  • Plastic bags for towels, clothes & rubbish
  •  shampoo, conditioner in small shatterproof containers
 
Mess Kit – Dilly bag  see here for more info.
 
Sleeping Gear :-
 
During the camp :-
  •  Shirts / T-Shirts / Shorts / Jeans /(for each day + 1) These should be robust and easy to clean
  •  Jumper/Windcheater/Jacket/Beanie
  •  Changes of socks and undies (for each day + 1) It is important to have clean dry feet so extra socks never go amiss!
  • Handkerchief
  • Towel (plus beach / pool towel if required)
